From CNC Prototype to Repeat Production
by MechVibe Factory Team · 1 min read
An approved prototype is only the first step. Repeatable production depends on keeping requirements, setup knowledge and inspection points controlled.
Freeze the Approved Revision
Record the model, drawing, material, finish and inspection requirements that produced the approved sample. New changes should always create a clearly identified revision.
Capture Critical Process Information
Fixtures, tool access, work offsets and inspection methods all affect repeatability. Keeping this knowledge with the production team reduces relearning between orders.
Confirm a Production Sample
For a meaningful volume increase, approve a first article from the intended production route before the remaining quantity is released.
Agree on Inspection and Packaging
Define which dimensions require records, how cosmetic surfaces are handled and how parts must be protected in transit.
Share your approved revision and target quantity with our factory team for a repeat-production review.
